Booking, cancellation & refunds

The short version: reschedule any time with 24 hoursnotice, and if something isn't working tell me and I'll fix it or refund it. The detail below is here so you know where you stand, not so I can hold you to fine print.

Free discovery calls

There's no policy here. If you can't make it, cancel through the link in your confirmation so the slot opens up for someone else, or just email me. Nothing to pay and nothing to sort out.

Rescheduling a paid session

Give me 24 hoursnotice and you can reschedule as many times as you need, at no charge. Use the reschedule link in your booking confirmation, or email me and I'll move it.

I know what a premed schedule looks like. Exams move, shifts get added, things come up at home. Rescheduling is not something you need to apologize for.

Late cancellations and no-shows

If you cancel less than 24 hoursbefore a session, the first time is free and I'll simply rebook you. After that, a late cancellation counts as a used session, because a slot held for you is one I couldn't offer to anyone else.

If you don't show up and I haven't heard from you within 15 minutes of the start time, that session counts as used.

In practice I am reasonable about all of this. If something genuinely went wrong, say so and we'll sort it out.

When sessions expire

A session you've paid for but not yet booked stays valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. You do not need to use it right away. Buying now and scheduling later, once you actually feel ready, is completely fine and fairly common.

Sessions inside a package run through the end of the application cycle you bought them for, so you can save several for interview season.

Refunds

  • Written work (ABS reviews, essay edits) is fully refundable any time before I start on it. Once I've sent the reviewed document back it isn't refundable, since the work is done and it's yours to keep.
  • Unused sessions in a package are refundable pro-rata at any point.
  • A session that missed the mark gets redone free or refunded, your choice, if you tell me within 7 days of it happening.

If something isn't right

Email me at hello@theacceptanceletter.ca and say so plainly. I would much rather refund someone than have them walk away thinking this wasn't worth it. Canadian premed is a small world and I intend to be in it for a long time.
